During the full-scale invasion, Oschadbank has entered into loan agreements with municipalities worth about UAH 3 billion. This was stated by Yevhen Myachyn, Director of Corporate Business Development and Support at Oschadbank, during a speech at the conference “Strengthening the Energy Efficiency of Communities” organized by the DiXi Group think tank.
"Oschadbank continues to maintain its leadership in financing municipalities. This year, we have already signed loan agreements with communities for almost UAH 1 billion. As of May 1, 2025, Oschad's market share among Ukrainian banks was 57% in terms of loan portfolio," said Yevhen Miachyn.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, in 2023, Ukrainian banks concluded deals worth UAH 716 million to finance municipalities. In 2024, this volume was significantly increased and reached UAH 2.8 billion.
"As for the trends in the allocation of credit funds, municipalities used to mainly use them to repair and modernize social infrastructure, but now they are increasingly attracting funds for projects that will have an economic impact on the community. For example, recent cases include the construction of a waste recycling plant, a biogas plant, and energy facilities: cogeneration plants, solar power plants, substations, etc.," said Yevhen Miachyn, Director of Corporate Business Development and Support at Oschadbank.
