The Naftogaz Group has secured a UAH 3 billion loan from Oschadbank. These funds will be used to purchase imported natural gas.
This was announced by Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
"The need to import additional volumes of gas is caused by massive enemy attacks on gas infrastructure facilities. We are collaborating with Ukrainian and international partners to secure financial and other resources in order to survive the heating season in the face of Russian terrorist shelling. I am grateful to the government team and Oschadbank for their support," said Sergii Koretskyi.
The mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation between Naftogaz of Ukraine and Oschadbank has been going on for over fifteen years. Oschadbank provides comprehensive banking services to the Naftogaz Group, particularly in terms of lending.
"Supporting the country's energy security is one of Oschadbank's priorities, especially during a full-scale war when the enemy is destroying power generation facilities, power grids, and gas pipeline infrastructure. Of course, we could not fail to support our long-standing partners, the Naftogaz Group, in preparing for the heating season," said Yurii Katsion, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, responsible for corporate business.
