The ampfootball charity mini-tournament “Match for Heroes 2.0,” organized by Oschadbank and MasterCard in partnership with the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), took place on June 22 at the Bannikov NTC stadium in Kyiv.

The event brought together veterans, Ukrainian stars, and business leaders to draw attention to the development of adaptive sports in Ukraine. The event was also intended to support fundraising for the Ukrainian Football Association's social project, the League of the Strong, which helps military personnel with amputations return to active life through sports. Balls and T-shirts signed by the Ukrainian football legend Andriy Shevchenko and players of the Ukrainian national team will be drawn among all participants who deposit UAH 100 or more with a Mastercard® card from Oschad by June 30. Five lucky winners will have the opportunity to meet Shevchenko in person in Kyiv.

"Supporting sports for people with disabilities, in particular our female and male veterans, is not a one-time gesture but a strategic direction of Oschadbank's inclusive program My Accessibility. Through such initiatives, we do not just amplify the voices of our defenders - we help them find new strength in sports, in team play, and in the community. It is a great honor for me to be here today at the opening of this tournament and to see our heroes win again - on the football field and in life," commented Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

This year's event was held in the format of a mini-tournament according to the rules of ampfootball (football for people with amputations) with the application of the EAFF rules of the game, which provide for compliance with the principles of fair play. Four teams played each other in two semifinals, a third-place game, and the final. Each match consisted of two halves of 20 minutes each with a 10-minute break.

A total of 60 amputee footballers from different regions of Ukraine took to the field. Ukrainian celebrities joined the competition as goalkeepers, including chef Yevhen Klopotenko, singer Oleksandr Sydorenko (Fozzy), and film director and presenter Yevhen Synelnykov. The participants of the competition were personally greeted by UAF President Andriy Shevchenko. The winner of the tournament was the Crusaders team from Lutsk.
