Oschadbank provided charitable assistance to the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation for the educational needs of children who lost one or both parents as a result of the russian federation's armed aggression against Ukraine. The support is aimed at financing a six-month IT education course for 30 children aged 13 to 17 who are under the care of the foundation, including children of Oschadbank employees.
The Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation provides long-term comprehensive support to children who have suffered losses due to the war. As of January 1, 2026, the foundation cares for 15,227 children from all regions of Ukraine. The vast majority of the children under the foundation's care are children of military personnel. The fund operates on the principles of “Do no harm,” “Individual approach,” and “Long-term and tangible impact,” accompanying each child until adulthood and beyond in matters of education, internships, and professional development.
"Investing in the education of children who have lost their parents due to the war is investing in Ukraine's future. For Oschadbank, it is important not only to help here and now but also to create real opportunities for these children to develop, realize their potential, and live a dignified life. We are convinced that knowledge, particularly in the field of IT, opens the way to integration into the global world and the formation of a strong, competitive nation," commented Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.
"It is important for us that support for children is not limited to one-time assistance. Educational programs are about sustainable opportunities, choices, and a future that children can build for themselves. We are grateful to Oschadbank for its partnership and willingness to invest in such long-term solutions," said Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation.
It is up to the foundation to work with each family individually, taking into account the child's age, life circumstances, and changing needs. Educational programs, including IT courses, are part of this support and help children gain practical skills, try their hand at a new field, and see opportunities for further development.
Oschadbank consistently supports educational and social initiatives. Caring for war heroes and their families is part of the bank's inclusive program “My Accessibility,” through which Oschad systematically supports veterans, their loved ones, and children who have suffered losses due to the war.
