Oschadbank and EBRD launched “green” loans for Ukrainians: first borrowers have already secured funding

Oschad News

Oschadbank, in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has launched a new energy security support facility for individuals - ESSF. The first two loans were issued under Oschad’s New Energy program.

ESSF is a program that helps Ukrainians obtain financing for the purchase and installation of hybrid power systems that generate electricity from alternative sources.

The main terms of lending include:

  • loan amount up to UAH 1,000,000;
  • term up to 60 months;
  • interest rate of 21.1%;
  • no collateral.

The main advantage of the program is the possibility of receiving investment incentives (cashback) from the EBRD. Individuals can count on a cashback of 15%, and an additional 10% cashback is provided for privileged categories and their family members.

The first participants in the program were residents of Kropyvnytskyi and Lviv.

A borrower from Kropyvnytskyi, a family member of a combat veteran and an entrepreneur, received UAH 1 million for energy-efficient equipment. Due to the favorable terms, he will receive 25% of the loan amount back.

A client from Lviv, who works in the financial sector, received UAH 500 thousand and will benefit from a 15% cashback.

“The launch of this program is an extremely important step in supporting Ukrainians in a difficult period. We help our customers become energy independent and promote the development of environmentally friendly technologies in Ukraine. The best preferential terms under the program are provided, in particular, to veterans and their families - this is a manifestation of our gratitude,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

The program was created for Ukrainians who could not only provide their homes with a stable electricity supply, but also receive additional income from the sale of excess energy at a “green” tariff.
