Oschadbank has released the second edition of the ESG Impact Book – a reporting presentation brochure summarising the bank’s key sustainability results for 2025 and illustrating its overall progress in implementing ESG principles and practices. The publication demonstrates how sustainability principles are integrated into Oschadbank’s day-to-day operations – from staff development, corporate governance, accessibility and philanthropy to the loan portfolio as one of the bank’s key instruments for influencing the economy and society.
The release of the ESG Impact Book 2025 marks the next stage in the development of Oschadbank’s non-financial reporting. This year’s edition represents a further step towards gradually aligning the bank’s reporting with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The brochure already discloses certain indicators in accordance with these standards, and the scope of such disclosure will gradually increase in future sustainability reports and other reporting materials.
‘Ukraine is steadily moving towards the European legal and economic area, and it is important for Oschadbank to adapt its approaches to European requirements and high standards of corporate governance in good time. ESG reporting is one such area. We are deliberately implementing European approaches even before they become mandatory for Ukrainian banks. It enhances the transparency of our operations, strengthens the trust of our international partners and establishes modern standards for bank management,” said Yurii Katsion, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
An important stage in the preparation of the second ESG Impact Book was Oschadbank’s first-ever Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) conducted in accordance with the ESRS methodology. Internal and external stakeholders, including key international financial organisations - the bank’s partners, were involved in the assessment.
Based on the results of the DMA, Oschadbank identified eight priority sustainability topics that form the basis of its ESG practices and non-financial reporting. They cover the environmental, social and governance dimensions of the bank’s operations – ranging from managing its own environmental impact, human capital development and accessibility to energy independence, business continuity, responsible financing, ethics and accountability.
Oschadbank is also systematically advancing ESG approaches in the areas of accessibility, staff development, corporate governance and philanthropy. The second ESG Impact Book report provides a comprehensive assessment of the bank’s progress in these areas and traces their integration into its operations.
