Oschadbank strengthens the energy independence of its branch network across the country

In order to increase energy resilience and ensure uninterrupted access to financial services for citizens, Oschadbank is implementing additional measures to strengthen the energy independence of its branch network.

Given the significant damage to the country's energy system, the bank has initiated the additional purchase of gasoline generators and heaters and has built up an additional fuel reserve to ensure uninterrupted operation in extremely low temperatures. The fuel reserve for the generators is calculated for 7 days of autonomous operation. More than 330 heaters powered by generators have already been purchased to heat the premises of the branches, and 50 gasoline generators with a capacity of 8 kW will also be delivered.

"We are grateful to the energy specialists who work around the clock in extreme weather conditions to bring light back to our homes, hospitals, schools, offices, and factories. But in the context of a prolonged war, each of us must also take care of our own energy security. Oschadbank has the largest banking network in Ukraine, and this imposes a special responsibility on us towards our customers and our employees. That is why we are reviewing the level of backup power supply in our branches and will continue to invest in the autonomy and resilience of our network," said Yurii Katsion, Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.

Currently, about 80% of Oschadbank's network of over 1,100 branches are energy independent. Of these, 433 branches are part of the POWER BANKING network, which operates throughout the country even during prolonged power failures. During power outages, you can always charge your mobile devices, take a break, and use basic financial services here.

POWER BANKING branches provide financial services to customers of all banks, including cash withdrawals, transfers, utility payments, and other transactions.
