Local authorities compensated more than UAH 10 million of interest on eOselia mortgage loans provided through Oschadbank

Thanks to Oschad's partnership with regional military administrations (RMAs) and local governments, more than 500 Ukrainian families have already received eOselia housing loans on special terms. The bank has provided these categories of citizens with over UAH 730 million of mortgage loans under this government program, with compensation from local budgets exceeding UAH 10 million.

Oschadbank signed eight memorandums with RMAs and one with the city council, which provide for partial compensation of interest on eOselia mortgage loans for certain privileged categories of population. These agreements made mortgage loans for these groups of borrowers virtually interest-free.

The list of privileged categories varies from region to region but mostly includes contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, war veterans and their families, families of fallen defenders, persons with war-related disabilities, IDPs, police officers, scientists, teachers, and doctors.

The largest number of concessional loans was granted in the Odesa region (195), Lviv region (142), Chernivtsi region (59), Kharkiv region (37), Ternopil region (13), Zakarpattia region (12), Sumy region (3), and Kryvyi Rih (27).

Recently, Oschadbank signed another memorandum with the Poltava Regional Military Administration, which will compensate 3% of the interest rate for contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, veterans, combatants, persons with war-related disabilities, and family members of fallen defenders.

"We see real results from our cooperation with local authorities. Thanks to these agreements, hundreds of Ukrainian families have been able to purchase their own housing on unique terms. We continue to increase the pace of this cooperation and appeal to all RMAs and municipalities to join the program as well," said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

Oschadbank holds the lead among the banks participating in the eOselia program, accounting for almost 37% of the market both in terms of the number and amount of loans issued. Since the start of the program, the bank has already disbursed 6,625 loans worth almost UAH 11 billion.

To expand the opportunities for purchasing housing, Oschad is constantly expanding the list of accredited new buildings. As of today, 233 objects under construction are already available for mortgage applications under eOselia.
