Success stories of Oschad customers: what makes the Kyiv Fan Plant unique
Oschad News
Sixteen years ago, in Brovary, near Kyiv, a young couple of entrepreneurs rented a garage and started their own fan production. Subsequently, an additional garage was constructed, land was acquired, and a workshop was constructed. This is how the history of the Kyiv Fan Plant (KFP) began. Today, the company is the leader of its industry in Ukraine. It has the most modern production, serves more than 27 thousand customers, and exports goods to 23 countries of the world.
The plant has been cooperating with Oschadbank for a long time and fruitfully. Thanks to this partnership, the company managed to improve production processes and confidently continue its development. Within the framework of the new project “Success stories of Oschad clients,” we talk about the experience of the KFP.
The most modern production of industrial fans in the country
Complex equipment is produced at the Kyiv Fan Plant. Not small fans for the office, but large-scale units that clean the air at large enterprises. Centrifugal, axial, dust, and roof fans; smoke extractors and traction machines; cyclones, and mine equipment are manufactured here. The plant also undertakes production of non-standard and high-temperature fans made of stainless alloys to individual orders.
These installations are used in mines, factories, shopping and office centers, bomb shelters, etc. The entire product is carefully checked, and quality control takes place at almost all stages of production. “We have a special regulation in our country: we cannot simply manufacture and sell the system; we have to undergo certification and testing in real conditions,” explains the co-owner of the KFP Bohdan Yemets.
It gives its result. Over the past year, the plant received product claims only twice; the percentage of complaints was 0.007%. For comparison, in this field, world leaders keep the bar at 0.2-0.4%. In addition, the company was the first in the Ukrainian segment to receive a certificate of product compliance with EU requirements.
The KFP is also special because it is built from scratch and equipped with the latest equipment, while other fan factories continue to use Soviet machines. The plant has the world's best thermal cutting machines with a plasma cutting source, high-precision lathes from the lathe-milling group, and inverter-type welding machines. All of the equipment is new and known as world giants.
The enterprise implements one of the best technologies for the production of industrial fans. The entire process, from metal cutting to painting and assembly, is carried out in one workshop. The premises are perfectly clean and have an effective heating system. It has the largest warehouse stock of industrial fans in Ukraine.
The plant actively invests in energy independence and sustainable development, and today it already has two solar power plants with a total capacity of more than 160 kWh. According to the company's forecasts, this year, about 50% of the products will be manufactured using the energy of a solar power plant.
“We recently launched another SPP. From mid-April to October, we will cover 90% of electricity needs due to the sun. We are even going to sell or give the remaining electricity to the state; now we are deciding on contracts,” says Bohdan Yemets.
Grant for machines and comprehensive support from Oschad
Bohdan's principle in conducting business is the optimization of processes and product quality due to the purchase of new high-tech equipment. This requires attracting credit and grant funds and state support.
However, according to the entrepreneur, state bodies used to prevent him from developing the enterprise rather than help it. Therefore, when he first heard about the possibility of receiving a state grant from the employees of Oschad, he was sceptical about the idea. Even asked, “Will they really provide 50% of the cost of the equipment?” Optimism was added only after the company passed the first stage and received a final approval.
“When the money came, it was fantastic," Bohdan recalls. With the help of the bank, the plant received a state grant for equipment in the amount of UAH 8 million. With these funds, seven machines were purchased, which made it possible to increase the accuracy and efficiency of production. Today, the company also has a salary project and currency accounts in Oschad.
"We finance and serve a lot of enterprises, starting with microbusinesses and sole proprietors and ending with large corporations. Helping small and medium-sized businesses is also important for us. We can observe the plant's quick development, use of solar energy, development of ecological production, and attraction of cutting-edge technologies. And we are proud to be related to the success of the company," comments Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.
The partnership between Oschadbank and the Kyiv Fan Plant continues. New opportunities for cooperation, likely directions of lending, and the plant's participation in international programs are already being discussed.
