Funding change with care for the planet
We believe that financial resilience is inseparable from environment stewardship. Therefore, Oschadbank promotes responsible business practices, supports projects in renewable energy and waste management, encourages household energy independence, and implements environmental initiatives within its own operations. Oschadbank has also adopted an Environmental and Social Management Policy that defines the Bank's approach to sustainable development.
Financing energy independence for households and businesses
We help households transition to energy independence by providing loans for solar panels, wind systems, heating boilers, and charging stations. In 2024 Oschadbank joined the state program “Energy Independence for Households” and launched its own energy equipment loan program.
Under the state program, implemented jointly with the Business Development Fund, the state fully compensates interest rates on loans for citizens purchasing energy generation and storage equipment. Eligible products include hybrid solar or wind power systems up to 10 kW for private households.
Consumer lending program
Oschadbank offers a consumer lending program for purchasing energy-generating products at a 21% interest rate. Loans under this energy efficiency program are available for both private homes and apartments in multi-story buildings. Eligible purchases include charging stations, energy independence kits (power supply systems), heating boilers, solar power plants and panels, wind turbines, related additional equipment, materials, and installation services.
Cooperation with international partners
In cooperation with international partners, Oschadbank also provides financing to micro, small, and medium businesses for energy‑efficient equipment.
New energy
New energy is a program launched under an agreement between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Oschadbank to support the purchase and installation of hybrid power supply systems generating electricity from alternative energy sources. Loans are offered at 21.1% annual interest upon submission of supporting documents.
Financing environmental projects
In the corporate segment, Oschadbank financed several projects with environmental components in 2024. The largest was funding for the construction of waste processing plant in Lviv.
In 2025, Oschadbank led a consortium of Ukrainian banks providing approximately UAH 3 billion in credit for one of the largest energy storage facility complexes in Eastern Europe. This is the record-setting financing for Ukraine's energy security.
Our own energy efficiency
Oschadbank implements internal solutions to reduce resource consumption in daily operations. In 2025, for example, the Bank began systematic implementation of Automated Commercial Metering System (ACMS), also known as Automated Meter Reading (AMR).
