The first Oschadbank mobile branch in Vinnytsia Oblast has begun operating in the Bar City Territorial Community, which comprises 70 settlements. From now on, residents of remote villages and towns will be able to access a full range of banking services without having to travel to a brick-and-mortar branch.
The mobile branch will complement the network of 45 Oschadbank branches in Vinnytsia Oblast, 26 of which have already been certified as compliant with state building standards for accessibility. The combination of brick-and-mortar and mobile formats makes it possible to expand access to financial services for community residents regardless of where they live.
“The full-scale war has disrupted daily logistics and made access to basic services more challenging. Mobile branches are a way to bring financial services back to where they’re needed and ensure people can receive pensions, payments, and other banking services with no need to travel to brick-and-mortar branches,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
“Oschad on Wheels” is a purpose-built armored vehicle equipped with satellite communication, an autonomous power supply, video surveillance systems, air conditioning, a fire suppression system, and advanced banking equipment. The interior features a fully equipped workstation for a specialist and an armored cash desk box with bulletproof glass. This enables continuous operation and ensures the security of transactions and personal data even where the customary infrastructure is unavailable.
The mobile branch's operating schedule is developed in collaboration with local authorities.
Community residents will be able to receive pensions, social benefits, and financial assistance; open accounts and deposits; reissue payment cards; make transfers; pay for utilities and other services; and exchange currency. This service format is particularly important for older adults, people with limited mobility, and residents of remote areas.
Currently, Oschadbank has 14 mobile branches operating under the “My Accessibility” program. In addition, more than 750 of the Bank’s branches nationwide are compliant with physical accessibility standards, while another 38 have been designed in-house to meet enhanced accessibility standards.
