The trademark “OSCHAD” is recognized as well-known in Ukraine as of January 1, 2017, in terms of financial, banking, and credit and monetary services.

On December 5, 2025, the relevant decision was made by the Appeals Chamber of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation based on the results of consideration of materials confirming the long-term and widespread use of the brand in the financial sector.

The trademark “OSCHAD” is used by the bank along with the trademark “Oschadbank.”

The status of a well-known trademark means the highest level of legal protection of the brand, including in the digital environment. This creates additional tools to counter unfair bids, brand imitations, and the use of similar designations in domain names, online services, and other digital products.

Recognition of the status of a well-known trademark retrospectively as of January 1, 2017, strengthens Oschadbank's position in the right to prioritize its use and allows it to effectively respond to any attempts to imitate the brand. From that date, the proprietor of the trademark in fact enjoys all the legal advantages of the status of a well-known mark.

This means that Oschadbank has legal grounds to require the termination of the use of designations that reproduce or imitate the designation “OSCHAD,” even if they apply to non-homogeneous goods or services or in a digital environment. This status significantly expands the brand's legal protection tools.
