Oschadbank launches first digital experiment with AI-advisors

Oschad News

Oschadbank was the first Ukrainian bank to use AI in communication with customers and is now reinforcing this leadership with an experimental digital project called “AI Oschadyks.” In this project, artificial intelligence is “being interviewed” by bank customers and competing for their attention.

The project demonstrates how artificial intelligence can be used in regular banking communication. AI Oschadyks do not replace real employees but test how modern technologies can sound different and help explain complex things in a simple way.

The experiment involves two virtual assistants - Mr. Oschad and Oschadyk. The former answers precisely, formally, and in a structured manner, like a real financial advisor. The second one is lighter and more informal, explaining everything in familiar language, with jokes and examples.

A user may inquire about any topic, including "how to explain cashback to grandma" and savings, and receive two distinct responses. And then vote on whose style is closer and more understandable. This will help Oschadbank understand how to develop digital services so that they sound natural.

"We see AI becoming a part of everyday experience, and we have been using it in marketing for a long time to make our communications more interesting for customers. But it is important that this experience is not cold and impersonal. AI Oschadyks help us explore how technology can complement live communication and make it easier and faster. We want even digital formats to sound human, and customers themselves can influence what the service will be like in the future," said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

Oschadbank will raffle off themed gifts among all those who test the AI Oschadyks and vote for their favorite.
