Oschadbank Ranked Among the Top 3 Banks in Eastern Europe for the Quality of Services to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Oschad News

Oschadbank ranked among the top three banks in Eastern Europe in the international SME Banking Council 2026 ranking, which evaluates the development of banking services to micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.

The Bank ranked among the leaders in all five categories and was among the top three in the following three categories:

  • Business Banking – ranked second among Ukrainian banks and third in Eastern Europe
  • Daily Banking and Liabilities – ranked third in Ukraine and Eastern Europe
  • Sustainability and Inclusion – ranked third in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

The SME Banking Council ranking evaluates banks across five categories: digitalisation, product offerings, business financing, quality of the customer experience, and the implementation of sustainable development and financial inclusion practices.

This international recognition confirms that Oschadbank is one of the leaders in delivering modern services to micro, small, and medium-sized businesses and is a reliable financial partner for Ukrainian entrepreneurs. It is particularly valuable to receive such recognition amid a full-scale war, when the Bank provides uninterrupted business financing, supports investment projects, helps preserve jobs, develops digital services, and implements inclusive solutions. This result was achieved thanks to the daily efforts of the Oschadbank team and the trust of our customers. We will continue to expand financing opportunities for Ukrainian businesses, enhance our products and services, and support entrepreneurs who work, invest, and lay the foundation for Ukraine’s economic resilience,” emphasized Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, Oschadbank’s Management Board member in charge of MSMEs.

Oschadbank is one of the largest lenders to Ukrainian micro, small, and medium-sized businesses. In the first half of 2026 alone, the Bank financed entrepreneurs with nearly UAH 15 billion, with investment loans accounting for more than a third of that amount. Since the beginning of the year, the MSME loan portfolio has grown to UAH 34.3 billion, and more than 3,000 Ukrainian entrepreneurs have been provided with financing.

The Bank is also supporting energy independence, relocation and business recovery projects, community development, and women’s and veteran entrepreneurship, and is implementing programs in collaboration with international financial partners.

About:

The SME Banking Council ranking is developed by experts from the SME Banking Agency, which has been operating since 2004 and conducts regular independent rankings of banks focusing on SMEs. More than 30 banks from Eastern Europe (including Ukraine) participate in the ranking. The evaluation is conducted across five categories: Digital Banking, Business Banking, Financing, Daily Banking & Liabilities, and Sustainability & Inclusion.
