Oschadbank and Mastercard have become official partners of the first-ever Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship, organized by the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF). This unique tournament, which will run from September to December 2025, will bring together teams from all over Ukraine, with the first round kicking off today in Kyiv.
Ten teams will compete in the championship: MSK Dnipro (Cherkasy), Pokrova AMP (Lviv), Shakhtar Stalevi (Donetsk), Bureviy (Kyiv region), Khrestonosci (Lutsk), Vinnytsia AMP (Vinnytsia), Nezlamni (Kharkiv), Titans (Zhytomyr), FC Bartka (Ivano-Frankivsk), and Vikings (Ternopil). The winner of the Championship will have the right to represent Ukraine in the EAFF (European Amputee Football Federation) Champions League in 2026.
The championship is being held with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ukrainian Mass Sports Agency. All matches will be broadcast live on the MEGOGO media service and the UAF YouTube channel.
“For Oschadbank, supporting amputee football is a natural extension of the strategic inclusive program ”My Accessibility" and a testament to the bank's consistent position in the development of adaptive sports in Ukraine. This championship is not just a sporting event but a symbol of strength of spirit, resilience, and inspiring leadership demonstrated by amputee footballers, in particular our veterans, who find new motivation and support in sport," commented Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, on the start of the championship.
“For me, amputee footballers are heroes who prove that strength of spirit is stronger than limitations. And Oschadbank is proud to join its partners in this historic event, which sets the trajectory for the society,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.
Oschadbank already has significant experience in supporting adaptive sports. In October 2024, the bank and Mastercard organized a charity game called “Match for Heroes,” where veterans with prosthetic limbs played alongside Ukrainian stars. This initiative raised about 8 million hryvnia for sports prosthetics for veterans who are clients of the Superhumans Center.
In June 2025, Oschadbank, together with Mastercard and the UAF, organized another charity mini-tournament, “Match for Heroes 2.0,” and raised funds to support the social project “League of the Strong,” initiated by the UAF, which involves people with amputated limbs or impaired limb function in football. Over the year of the project's existence, amputee football clubs have been created in 18 cities of Ukraine, and 20 teams have been formed with the participation of about 300 players. The League of the Strong won the prestigious UEFA FootbALL Awards 2025 in the “National Association” category.
"At Mastercard, we believe in the importance of creating equal opportunities for everyone and consistently implement initiatives that help build a barrier-free society—both in payments and beyond. Along with Oschadbank and the UAF, we have already carried out a number of projects to promote and develop adaptive sports. Today, we are especially pleased to see these efforts continue with the first amputee football championship, which brings together teams from all over the country and inspires new wins,” emphasized Inga Andreeva, General Manager of Mastercard in Ukraine and Moldova.
Last year, Oschadbank also supported the participation of the Ukrainian National Paralympic Team in the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris.
