Oschadbank Financed MSMEs in the Amount of Almost UAH 15 billion in the First Half of 2026

Oschad News

Almost 38% of the new financing that Oschadbank provided to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises was directed toward the implementation of investment projects.

Over the course of six months, Oschadbank provided UAH 14.9 billion in financing to 3,086 MSME enterprises. This amount included UAH 5.6 billion in investment loans, while another UAH 9.3 billion went to replenish working capital, enabling enterprises to ensure continuous production, purchase raw materials, and respond promptly to market needs.

The largest share of financing went to agricultural enterprises, which received UAH 7.3 billion, and industrial enterprises, which received UAH 4 billion. These sectors are currently among the key drivers of Ukraine’s economic stability. Since the beginning of the year, Oschadbank’s MSME loan portfolio has increased by UAH 4.6 billion and reached UAH 34.3 billion as of the end of June.

Despite all the challenges of wartime, Ukrainian businesses are still investing in their development. In the first five months of 2026, the total volume of lending by banks to corporate clients grew by 8%. At Oschadbank, such a growth occurred at an even faster pace in the micro, small, and medium-sized business segment - with a 15% increase over 6 months. The fact that nearly 38% of new financing consists of investment loans further demonstrates entrepreneurs’ confidence in the future and their readiness to scale up production, upgrade equipment, and implement new projects. We'll keep focusing our resources on financing Ukrainian businesses, which are currently the backbone of the country's economic stability,” said Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, Member of the Management Board of Oschadbank in charge of MSMEs.

To expand businesses’ access to financing, Oschadbank is actively implementing credit risk-sharing mechanisms in collaboration with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with the support of the European Union. The bank is also working to further expand its cooperation with international financial partners. An important tool for supporting entrepreneurs is lending combined with grant programs. In particular, in the first half of 2026, Oschadbank’s clients received, with financial support from the EU, EBRD grants totaling over EUR 1.38 million under 108 loan agreements. Oschadbank is also actively utilizing grant programs from the National Development Agency, which helps enterprises attract additional non-repayable financial support for the implementation of investment projects.

Oschadbank is one of the largest lenders to Ukrainian businesses. The Bank finances enterprises in key sectors of the economy, supports investment projects and working capital replenishment, and implements joint programs with government and international partners aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises.
