Oschadbank provided LLC «Eko-Foture Kamyanka» with €10.34 million in loan financing for the implementation of an investment project in the renewable energy sector. This is Oschadbank’s largest energy project in terms of loan financing in the micro, small, and medium-sized business segment.
As part of the project, three solar power plants with a total capacity of 18.322 MW will be built in the Khmelnytskyi Region. The project also includes the installation of a 50 MW energy storage system, which will enable more efficient management of the electricity generated and its sale depending on market conditions.
Upon commissioning, the complex is expected to generate up to 22,600 MWh of electricity per year.
“For the second year in a row we have been observing a trend whereby small and medium-sized business owners are shifting from addressing urgent issues related to ensuring a stable energy supply to making long-term energy investments. Since the beginning of the year, Oschadbank has financed the construction of solar power plants with a total capacity of 42.6 MW, investing nearly UAH 850 million. The «Eco-Foture Kamyanka» project, valued at EUR 10.34 million, has become the largest in terms of financing among energy projects in the MSME segment. For us, these figures reflect both the scale of a single investment deal and the country’s ability to respond to wartime challenges in the energy sector,” noted Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, a Member of Oschadbank’s Management Board in charge of MSME.
“This is a unique opportunity to create new distributed generation at a time when our country needs it, working together with partners who trust our team to execute a project of such scale,” said Yevhen Yaremenko, CEO of LLC Solar Steelconstruction.
The project’s construction is being carried out by Solar Steelconstruction – a Ukrainian vertically integrated company specializing in the design, construction, and management of solar energy and energy storage projects. The company has been operating in the market since 2012, with experience in implementing more than 5 GW of projects and operates in 20 countries around the world.
