Oschadbank joins the FinanceHER open memorandum aimed at developing women's businesses for Ukraine's recovery
Oschadbank has become a partner of the FinanceHER initiative, an international coalition that mobilizes financial resources to support women's entrepreneurship in Ukraine. According to a memorandum signed during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, the bank is committed to developing financial products for women entrepreneurs and expanding access to finance and relevant training. The document stipulates that Oschad will increase women's financial and digital literacy, as well as ensure their participation in procurement and supply chains. The bank will develop gender-sensitive products and services that meet the real needs of women in business, family and community, and will share information on this with other coalition members.
"Oschadbank is well aware of its role and responsibility in ensuring inclusive economic recovery of the country. Women entrepreneurs are already the driving force of small and medium-sized businesses, and our task is to provide them with equal access to financial resources to restore and further develop their own enterprises. Joining the FinanceHER initiative is our commitment to further support the development of women's businesses," said Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, Oschadbank Board Member in charge of MSMEs.
Women demonstrate high economic activity despite the war and challenges. In 2024, more than 60% of new sole proprietors in Ukraine were registered by women. They also accounted for 61% of the winners of state grant programs. At the same time, women remain economically vulnerable: almost 60% of internally displaced persons are women. A 2025 survey conducted by the Ukrainian Women's Congress with the support of Oschadbank showed that 53% of women want to improve their financial literacy.

The initiative brings together government institutions, international organizations, banks, and businesses to create a coalition platform for sharing experiences, holding the annual public forum Access to Finance: Women Lead Recovery, and publishing reports on the implementation of commitments.
