This season, the “League of the Mighty” brought together 18 teams and 500 players with limb amputations. On the eve of the final round of the second Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship, Oschadbank and Mastercard, the project’s exclusive partners, are launching a new support initiative – well-known Ukrainian thought leaders are joining Super League teams as ambassadors.
The final round of the second Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship will take place October 16–18 in Ivano-Frankivsk. Since April 2026, 18 teams from all over the country have been competing in two divisions – the Super League and the First League. Over the course of four rounds, the teams have played more than 60 matches and scored over 150 goals.
Based on the results of the fourth round, “Pokrova AMP” and “Khrestonostsi” have early secured first and second place in the Super League. The battle for bronze is ongoing, so the overall ranking will be determined in the final round. The Super League champion has earned the opportunity to represent Ukraine in the 2027 EAFF Champions League.
“For Oschadbank, supporting the ‘League of the Mighty’ is part of a systematic effort to develop a barrier-free society and adaptive sports. Over the past two years, the project has evolved into a large-scale sports movement: hundreds of people with limb amputations regularly take the field, new teams are being formed, and the Ukrainian national team is participating in international competitions. Having ambassadors on board means we can share this movement with a much wider audience, introduce them to the teams and players, and draw more attention to amputee football in Ukraine,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
The ambassadors will support the Super League teams, introduce players and their stories to their audiences, and help attract new fans. Following the draw, the following ambassadors were selected:
- Anatolii Anatolich - “Khrestonostsi” (Lutsk);
- alyona alyona - “Kharkiv Unbreakables” (Kharkiv);
- Marichka Padalko - “Bartka” (Ivano-Frankivsk);
- Masha Kondratenko - “Vikings” (Ternopil);
- Oleksandr Popov - “Kolos-Burevii” (Kyiv Oblast);
- Oleksandr “Fozzy” Sydorenko - “MSK Dnipro” (Cherkasy);
- Oleh Pryhoda - “Pokrova AMP” (Lviv);
- Rusia Danilkina - “Shakhtar Stalevi” (Donetsk).
The year 2026 was packed with international events for the “League of the Mighty”. At the 2026 AMP Futbol Cup in Poland, the Ukrainian national team defeated the United States and took second place. The online broadcast of the tournament was viewed by 13,500 spectators. In September, the Ukrainian national team earned the opportunity to compete at the 2026 WAFF World Championship in Mexico.
The “League of the Mighty” also received international recognition – for the first time in Ukrainian history, the project earned the gold award at the 2025/26 UEFA Grassroots Awards in the Best Disability Initiative category.
Oschadbank has been supporting the “League of the Mighty” for the third season in a row. In 2024, the Bank, along with Mastercard, organized the “Match for Heroes” charity game, which raised about UAH 8 million for sports prosthetics for veterans – the Superhumans Center’s patients.
In 2025, Oschadbank, Mastercard, and the Ukrainian Football Association held “Match for Heroes 2.0” and raised funds to support the “League of the Mighty” social project, launched by the UAF in 2024. The project brings together individuals with limb amputations or functional impairments in one of their limbs and promotes amputee soccer in Ukraine.
Oschadbank also supports Ukraine’s National Paralympic Team and fosters partnerships to promote adaptive sports and accessibility. The Bank has signed a memorandum with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine on the joint development of an accessible environment for physical education.
