Tetiana Lomakina, Advisor – Presidential Commissioner for a Barrier-Free Environment (Accessibility) praised Oschadbank’s work in promoting accessibility, and highly commended its initiative, leadership in training, active promotion of accessibility in the financial services sector as well as sharing of its expertise with other spheres.
“We are very pleased when our work is recognized and acknowledged. Twelve years ago, we were the first among Ukrainian banks to start refurbishing our branches and making them accessible, and we are now comprehensively implementing barrier-free technologies and solutions across all areas of banking services. What’s more, we are already sharing our own experience and best practices with other service providers,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
As part of the “My Barrier-Free” program, Oschad not only trains its own teams but also shares its accumulated experience with communities nationwide. The unique, bespoke training courses ‘Accessibility: Appropriate Communication’ are delivered with the support of Tetiana Lomakina, Presidential Commissioner for a Barrier-Free Environment, within the framework of First Lady Olena Zelenska’s initiative “Accessibility is when you CAN”.
It was precisely for its leadership in implementing accessibility, developing educational initiatives and taking a systematic approach to creating an accessible environment that the bank received this award.
Oschadbank’s path from individual accessible solutions to a fully-fledged accessible ecosystem of financial services has been repeatedly recognized by colleagues and professional communities. For the second year running, Oschad has been named Inclusive Bank of the Year; this year, it won four awards from LUN in two categories — for Mobile Oschad and voice-activated ATMs.
