Oschadbank received an award as a veteran-friendly business

Oschadbank was recognized as a veteran-friendly business for its leadership in implementing Principle 9—“Support the businesses of veterans and their loved ones and families of the deceased; create opportunities for their independent entrepreneurship.”

The bank received the award during the first forum, “Veterans. Business. Economy,” which brought together veterans, business representatives, international partners, and government institutions in the capital. Forum participants shared their experiences, discussed the development of veteran entrepreneurship and ways to build a sustainable partnership model.

The forum brought together leaders of leading companies and employers who are signatories to the Principles of Veteran-Friendly Business, an initiative launched a year ago. These principles form the basis of a community of responsible businesses that create opportunities for employment, training, and development for people returning from war.

"For us, supporting veterans is not a one-time event, but systematic work. We observe that many of our defenders aspire to start their own companies, and Oschadbank provides them with opportunities by giving them access to funding, partnerships, knowledge, and mentorship. We are proud that Oschadbank's Business 4.5.0 product helps veterans not only start a business but also confidently integrate into the country's economic life," comments Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, member of the Oschadbank Board responsible for MSME banking.

Oschadbank supports the ideology of the initiative and implements practical programs for veterans. In particular, the Business 4.5.0 product, focused on financing veteran entrepreneurial initiatives, has become an example of the practical implementation of Principle 9. As of the end of September 2025, 82 loans totaling UAH 145 million had been issued under this program.

Oschadbank joined the initiative last year, confirming its commitment to supporting veterans. The memorandum on the principles of veteran-friendly business was signed by Oschadbank CEO Sergii Naumov on November 1, 2023, during a CEO summit organized by Forbes Ukraine. The memorandum was created by Starlight Media with expert support from Veteran Hub in partnership with Forbes Ukraine and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. The document defines 12 key principles—a roadmap for businesses seeking to become true partners to veterans and their families.

In this way, Oschadbank continues to develop a culture of responsible business and joins a coalition of companies that create an environment of fair opportunities for veterans and their families—in employment, products, services, communications, and social initiatives.
