EBRD recognises Oschadbank for achievements in priority group lending and promoting accessibility

Oschadbank has been honoured with two awards from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in strategic areas — for supporting priority borrower groups and for its achievements in accessibility and inclusion.

Yurii Katsion, Chairman of the Management Board, and Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board accepted the awards on behalf of Oschadbank. The awards were presented during the Fourth Annual EBRD Roundtable on the resilience of Ukrainian banking sector in wartime, which took place in London on 15 September.

The Priority Group Lending Champion award recognises active support for and financing of priority business groups and borrowers. This specifically refers to enterprises led by women, veterans and internally displaced persons, as well as to small and medium-sized businesses in sectors critical to the economy.

Accessibility and Inclusion Champion is an award recognising Oschadbank’s achievements in creating an accessible environment, implementing inclusive service standards, adapting banking infrastructure and services, and promoting equal opportunities for customers and staff.

This is our contribution to the resilience and future of the Ukrainian economy,” said Yurii Katsion, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

The Fourth Annual EBRD Roundtable brought together senior managers from Ukrainian banks, representatives of the EBRD and the European Commission. Participants discussed macroeconomic trends and the impact of the war on the economy, the resilience of the banking sector and key risks, the EBRD’s instruments to support the financial sector, funding for Ukraine’s recovery, and the development of human capital.

This year’s awards continue the EBRD’s tradition of recognising Oschadbank. The bank had previously received two awards for green finance projects implemented in 2025: ‘Green Deal of the Year: Renewable Energy (Wind)’ and ‘Green Deal of the Year: Water Sector’.
