Oschadbank donates UAH 10 million to Superhumans Center to set up a sterilization unit and provide prosthetics to war victims

Oschad has provided charitable assistance in the amount of UAH 10 million to Superhumans Center, a center for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and psychological support for war victims. The funds will be used to set up a central sterilization unit to prevent infections during medical care and to strengthen the center's capacity to provide prosthetics and rehabilitation services. The support of the center is another step in the implementation of Oschadbank's inclusive program "My Accessibility".

This is not the first time that Oschad has been actively involved in partnership projects aimed at helping victims of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor. Earlier, the bank, together with MasterCard, financed the creation of two wards at the Superhumans Center, and before that, together with Visa, joined the project to create a mobile rehabilitation module in Ovruch, Zhytomyr region, implemented by the Mindy Charitable Foundation. This module is designed as a social franchise, offering solutions for the rehabilitation of Ukraine's defenders in small towns and villages.

This and other similar projects are a true manifestation of the Ukrainian society's respect for our defenders. At the same time, it is good that the list of people who receive assistance here is not limited to the military, as the great war also affects other categories of Ukrainians. We urge businesses to join in supporting such projects - unfortunately, the number of Ukrainians in need of prosthetics and rehabilitation is significant and constantly growing," said Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.

The courage of our wounded defenders and other patients is impressive. Despite all the challenges of life, these people are optimistic about the future and even joke. We are happy that our bank has supported this project - we need it as much as the people who are undergoing rehabilitation in it," said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.

"We are proud of our cooperation with Oschadbank, thanks to which we can not only restore lost opportunities to more people, but also create our own sterilization department in the new Superhumans Center surgical unit. This will help reduce the risk of postoperative complications and strengthen infection control. Now, all instruments are processed within the center, which ensures maximum sterility of each surgery. For international missions dealing with highly complex cases of facial injuries, this is a key component of the success of the operation and reducing the risk of rejection and repeated surgical interventions," said Olga Rudneva, head of the Superhumans Center.

Oschadbank's assistance in the rehabilitation of Ukraine's defenders is not the only area of its veteran initiatives. The bank is implementing its own adaptation program for demobilized colleagues - so far, 47 employees have returned to Oschad offices and branches from the war. Within the framework of a large training program called "Inclusively Friendly", which is part of the "My Accessibility" initiative, Oschadbank employees receive knowledge on how to communicate with customers with combat experience.

Oschadbank pays great attention to the economic reintegration of men and women veterans into society. Thus, Oschad is the exclusive banking partner of the veterans' section of the state grant program eRobota. More than 600 veterans and their families have participated in this program and have received or will soon receive UAH 280 million of non-repayable financial assistance to start or develop their own business.

A separate component is Ukraine's first special banking product for veterans, Business 4.5.0. As part of it, a veteran or a family member (wife/husband, children, parents), as well as an enterprise with more than 30% of its staff being combatants, can get a loan from Oschadbank. In particular, with the help of such loan, a veteran, even without business experience, will be able to purchase a franchise that has proven its viability. The program also includes a preferential package of cash and settlement services, consultations and training.
