Oschadbank Expands Mobile Banking Project for Communities in Poltava Region

Oschad News

Oschadbank is expanding its mobile banking service project aimed at providing access to financial services in communities lacking permanent branches or with restricted access to them.

The mobile bank has already launched in Poltava Region, enabling residents of remotely located settlements to access basic banking services with no need for long trips.

«Oschad on the Wheels» — a specialized armored vehicle equipped with satellite communication, an autonomous power supply, video surveillance as well as modern banking equipment. Such equipment ensures the service stable operation while protecting financial transactions and customers’ personal data, including in areas with no standard infrastructure.

Mobile bank schedules will be set up together with local authorities to ensure the visits are as convenient as possible for community residents.

“Our goal is to make basic financial services available to people where they live. Oschadbank currently operates 45 branches in Poltava and the surrounding region, while also supplementing its stationary branch network with a mobile service to bring us even closer to the people. Mobile banking branch allows the state bank to be more accessible to communities, ensuring stability and access to financial infrastructure even in the most remote areas,” — said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank, in charge of retail business.

The mobile platform allows customers to access financial services thereby saving time and reducing the need for travel. Local residents will now be able to get their pensions, social benefits and aid payments, open an account or a deposit, reissue a card, make money transfers, pay their utility bills and other services, make currency exchange etc. These services mean a lot to the elderlies, people with limited mobility, as well as those living in remote areas.

As part of the “My Accessibility” Program, Oschadbank has been steadily developing inclusive infrastructure nationwide. More than 730 of the bank’s branches now meet national accessibility standards, while another 33 inclusive branches have been designed in-house to provide enhanced accessibility.

Along with mobile branches, the bank has established a comprehensive system for accessing its financial services in both urban and remote communities.

As of now, Oschadbank’s mobile branches operate in 13 regions of Ukraine, including frontline areas and locations lacking a permanent banking infrastructure.
