Oschadbank and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine have signed a memorandum on the joint development of a barrier-free environment in the field of physical culture.

The partners plan to implement rehabilitation and social integration programmes for veterans and people with disabilities, in particular through physical activity, to organise inclusive sporting and educational events, and to promote a non-discriminatory approach in sports.

“Accessibility is in Oschadbank’s DNA. For over 12 years, we have been implementing inclusive spaces and services to ensure access to financial services and wider environment. Our support for adaptive sports demonstrates high demand within society. Amputee football tournaments have already grown into a national championship, and we are proud of being involved in this. Today, together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, we are combining the policies implemented by the state with our experience and practical implementation to support adaptive sports,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

The parties share a common vision: sports and physical activities should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, place of residence or life circumstances.

“The development of adaptive and inclusive sports is a part of the state’s modern sports policy. We are joining forces with Oschadbank to strengthen rehabilitation programmes and social integration of veterans and people with disabilities, and to develop a barrier-free environment in the field of physical culture,” said Matvii Bidnyi, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

Oschadbank provides ongoing support for adaptive sports. The bank is a partner of Ukraine’s first-ever amputee football championship, the ‘Match for Heroes’ charity tournament, the ‘League of the Strong’ social project, and supports the Ukrainian National Paralympic Team.
