Oschadbank Announces New Programme to Support Ukrainian Gardeners with Grants of up to EUR 10,000

Oschad News

Oschadbank has announced the launch of the «Green Farming in Horticulture» program  whereby Ukrainian horticulturists will become eligible for grants of up to EUR 10,000 and preferential bank financing to implement climate-resilient technologies.

Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, the  Member of the Management Board of Oschadbank in charge of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, announced the bank’s participation in the program while presenting its details at the Ukrinform press centre on 15 July.

The agricultural sector has been one of the key drivers of the Ukrainian economy: it accounts for 17–19% of the country’s GDP and makes up 41% of Ukrainian exports, whilst over 70% of agricultural producers comprise small and medium-sized enterprises. Specifically to support this sector, the  program has been launched aiming to help Ukrainian fruit growers invest in modern technologies and improve the competitiveness of their businesses.

Oschadbank leads in applying the principles of sustainable finance within the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector. We are systematically expanding Ukrainian entrepreneurs’ access to modern financial instruments that help them invest in climate-resilient technologies. Today, Oschadbank’s loan portfolio in the agricultural sector exceeds UAH 17.7 billion and accounts for over 53% of the MSME business line’s loan portfolio. “The Green Farming in Horticulture” program will provide Ukrainian gardeners with additional opportunities to modernise their production and develop their businesses,” said Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, a Member of the Management Board of Oschadbank in charge of MSMEs.

The programme will launch on July 22, 2026. Until then, potential participants can familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions and prepare the necessary documents.

Participants in the programme will be eligible to receive:

  • a grant of up to EUR 10,000;
  • a grant covering up to 20% of the outstanding principal amount of the loan;
  • funding for investment projects, including under the government’s “Affordable Loans 5–7–9%” program, up to 5 years;
  • option to submit an application within 30 calendar days of the program’s launch.

The “Green Farming in Horticulture” program is being implemented as part of the “Preparing Eastern Partnership Countries for the European Green Deal (PROGRESS)” project, implemented on behalf of the German Federal Government’s International Climate Initiative (IKI). It combines grant support and preferential bank loans to introduce climate-resilient technologies in horticulture.
