Entrepreneurs wishing to participate in the new staff retraining program “From Training to Employment: Vocational Training for Women and Other Target Groups” can register on the Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF) portal, fill out a questionnaire and the corresponding application. The program is being realized with the financial support of the European Union, Germany, Poland, and Estonia as part of the Skills4Recovery Multi-Donor Initiative, which is being implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).
Thanks to the new program, businesses can retrain their candidates to meet the needs of filling vacancies. Candidates will undergo free retraining at educational institutions using adapted training programs for blue-collar and technical professions. The retraining or advanced training will be based on the employer's needs. One-third of the training will be on-the-job training.
The program will run until June 2026 throughout Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied regions, in stages based on the current needs of employers.
The key stages of the program will include:
- labour market analysis by collecting information from business entities (potential employers) to determine the real demand for specialists
- selection of employers to participate in the program who provide candidates for retraining or advanced training, followed by mandatory employment;
- organizing a competitive selection among educational institutions for the development and implementation of an educational program based on the needs of the employer;
- retraining or advanced training of participants;
- internships;
- employment at the enterprise.
