The auction for the sale of Gulliver did not take place: the supervisory boards of Oschadbank and Ukreximbank will determine the future strategy for the disposal of the asset

Today, 30 September 2026, at 20:00, the deadline for submitting bids to participate in the auction for the sale of the Gulliver complex via the Prozorro.Sale system expired. As of the deadline, no bids were received, and therefore the planned three-round English auction did not take place.
In light of this, the supervisory boards of Oschadbank and Ukreximbank will determine the future strategy for the disposal of the asset, taking into account market conditions, the readiness of potential investors and security risks.
‘The first important step has been taken — putting the complex up for sale. We see interest in the asset and understand that investors remain cautious due to the war risks. We will now assess the readiness of the market and potential investors to acquire the asset and determine possible models and timelines for its sale. For us, as a state-owned bank, it is important that the sale of the asset takes place as transparently as possible and yields the best possible financial outcome, which will affect the taxes and dividends paid to the state. We will therefore take a measured approach to our decision-making,” said Yurii Katsion, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
The Gulliver complex is owned by a consortium of state-owned banks, with Oschadbank holding an 80% stake and Ukreximbank holding 20%. The decision to sell the asset was approved by the supervisory boards of both banks in late July 2026. The complex was put up for sale at a starting price of $207 million, subject to full payment on the day the sale and purchase agreement is signed.
